found

someone painted this on a electric box on broad street. i guess when you live close to the art school, it shouldn't surprise you to find art in unexpected places. nevertheless, i was delighted by this little scene.

today i went for a walk.

going on my walks are so good for my soul. i need these moments of solitude. it clears my head. opens my eyes. helps me breathe better. it never ceases to amaze me how many little surprises like this bit of graffiti that you can find on a walk if you keep your eyes open for the everyday beauty around you.

it makes me think.

i want to live my life like one of my walks.

carefree.
breathing deeply.
eyes wide open for beauty at every turn.

yeah. i agree. immediately after i posted this i was struck by the naivity of the statement. i wish. i wish that was real life, but it's not. real life is so non-carefree.

fun little stencil piece! one of the joys of living in the city, I think-- the random spottings of street art.

and the walking, oh yes-- funny how I sometimes resist my walks. too tired, too much to do, too late, too early, etc., etc., etc. and then once I get out and move and breathe and think, I realize just how essential they are to my well-being, to maintaining my sanity...

Hey, I came across your blog and found the image interesting. I am always arrested seeing a small spot with some scratchings or markings on it, in their resemblance, they create those walks. They Typify those walks by placing you in a more human scene, or make you feel as such. That scene, when you are walking, you are always walking, through life. We all are, we have too.

I am a new guy here but I invite you to partake in a little walk to my page. I work with found stuff and I thought you may be interested, or might know someone who would be. I wish to collaborate with some folks by trading/ exchanging some things, comments if nothing else.

Thanks.
